MazaGTR or Excel: when the spreadsheet is no longer enough
Excel stays useful, and MazaGTR uses it: a client’s list can be imported, a report can be exported. But following a truck, a passenger or a parcel in a spreadsheet means re-keying everything and cross-checking by hand. Here is what changes, trade by trade.

Need
With a spreadsheet
With MazaGTR
Following a transport job
A row to update by hand, with no source and no history.
Each step is confirmed by a source (GPS, driver’s app, port, shipping line) and the job closes at the final point.
Knowing where the truck is
A phone call to the driver.
The position on the map, by GPS tracker or the driver’s phone; a cut GPS is flagged.
Knowing a job’s margin
Fuel, tolls and subcontracting cross-checked at month end.
Fuel, tolls and subcontracting attached to the job: real margin, invoices, payments and receivables.
Planning staff transport
The client’s list retyped at every change.
The client’s Excel list is imported with a preview, overload shows before departure and the driver sees his stops on his phone.
Following cash collected on delivery
One file per courier, matched by hand.
Cash on delivery is followed parcel by parcel, and the merchant statement is issued as a service invoice.
Running an international freight file
One workbook per operation, documents scattered.
One file per operation, with multi-leg route, customs, documents, margin and invoice with disbursements.
Letting the client follow the goods
He phones or writes.
He follows on a portal or a public link, without seeing prices, driver or GPS position.
Working in several languages
One file per language.
The same file in French, English, Spanish and Arabic, each in their own language.
Excel does not disappear: client and merchant lists are imported, and dashboards export to Excel.
